I've launched a YouTube channel!
20 August 2023 | MiscIt’s an idea I’ve been toying with under one guise or another for the last decade, but I’ve finally bitten the bullet and done it: I’ve launched a YouTube channel!
Not wanting to come to a new platform empty handed, I’ve produced six initial videos which are all available to watch right now on the new channel, @stratpackblog:
• Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (PS2) retrospective
• GTA IV is the best sandbox in the series
• Formula 1 97 (PS1) retrospective
• Why is everything a live service?
• The internet is wrong about the F1 games
• Football Manager is the most addictive spreadsheet ever made
The eagle-eyed reader might notice that these videos are adaptations of previous articles I’ve posted on the blog. As well as posting the videos to YouTube, I’ve also made them available via the article pages on the site.
So please do check them out, and feel free to let me know by email or on Twitter if you have any feedback. I’m really testing the waters here as far as video content is concerned, and trying to adapt to the new format without losing my voice.
While the first few videos are adaptations of articles, this also opens the door to all sorts of new ideas that are better suited to video, so look out for some exciting stuff in the coming months as I explore them and get to grips with editing.
In the meantime, please visit the channel, subscribe to stay up to date with new videos as I publish them, and let me know what you think!
